  • Welcome back York Hockey Nation!!
  • The Dukes are climbing the ranks and are at 8th in the Top 20 of Ross Forman’s Illinois High School Hockey Rankings as of Christmas Day! 
  • Some big games ahead with 4 games this week... Tues v New Trier Blue, Thursday v Loyola, Friday v Stevenson (@ home!) and Sunday v Glenbrook North. 
  • Each of these games leads the Dukes into Senior Night at Friday Night Ice v Stevenson on the 18th!
  • Lots of hockey still going on in January before the Dukes head into the beginning of the SHL playoffs in February and their quest for State in the Blackhawk Cup which run simultaneously! Hockey’s On!!!
  • All girls interested in joining the Girls Track and Field team should report to practice on Monday, January 14 at  2:00pm in the Fieldhouse. Please be sure to have an up-to-date physical on file and be registered through the Athletic Office. Those athletes still in a winter sport should contact Coach Maletich ASAP and plan to report to practice immediately following the conclusion of the season.   • Do you enjoy being creative, making crafts, and doing a variety of art projects? Come to the Lincoln Lab Tuesday, January 15th right after school for an Art Club informational meeting. We will be talking about possible ideas for this new club, and what we want to do in the future. Contact Ms. Drumm with any questions.
  • Hey International club members! Our first meeting of second semester will be on Wednesday, January 16th in room A390 right after-school. We'll be discussing t-shirt ideas and planning for International Fest. New members are always welcome! For any questions, contact Ms. McGowan or Ms. Kaniyaly. See you on Wednesday! 
  • Ciao Dukes! Do you love Italian language and culture? Or just eating Italian food? If so, join Italian Club on Tuesday, January 15th in room A227. We will enjoy Italian treats as we plan for the rest of the school year! A presto!
  • Bonjour Dukes! Do you love the French language? or just the French culture? Come to our first French club meeting of 2019 Thursday, January 17th, where we will be discussing our plans for the new year. As always, French snacks will be provided. All are welcome! See you there!
  • Have you ever had a pet? Do you love animals? Do you want to participate in fundraisers? If you said yes to at least one of these questions, then animal club is perfect for you! Come to our next meeting on Tuesday, January 15th in room A374. Make sure to bring $9 if you want a T-Shirt! Come join the pack!
  • The next Java Live open mic night is Friday, January 18th in the Commons.  Sign up to perform at the door, or sit back, relax, and enjoy student performances in a coffee house setting.  Doors open at 6:30 and music runs from 7 to 9.  The cost is a $4 donation at the door and snacks will be sold for $1 to help fund the spring Literary Magazine.
