Healthy Teens in a Digital Age: Drug Abuse Prevention
On Thursday, March 15, from 7 to 8:30 PM, the Robert Crown Center for Health Education will sponsor Raising Healthy Teens in a Digital Age: Drug Abuse Prevention at the District 205 Administrative Center, 162 S. York (second floor). This presentation will outline the brain’s development related to decision making, share information on societal trends in drug use, explain skills to reduce use by our kids and explore ways to conversation action plan on a specific drug topic.

Additionally, this program will:
  • Identify what youth are seeing in regards to drug use, including current research, societal trends, and barriers to healthy choices
  • Describe why youth are vulnerable decision makers due to brain development
  • Develop skills on how to reduce the risk of youth drug use through healthy relationships and conversations
  • Identify drug abuse prevention resources
This program is being presented in conjunction with the District 205 Learning and Teaching Department.
