This course extends the topics that students encountered in 8^{th} grade Algebra by addressing them algebraically, numerically and graphically. Students are introduced to new algebraic topics, including exponential growth and rational expressions, and also to geometryrelated topics such as matrices and transformations. Throughout the course an emphasis is placed on modeling real world phenomena and on the tools of data analysis and elementary statistics. A TI83/84 Plus graphing calculator is required.
