This event is designed for students and young adults interested in professional careers that don’t require a four-year college degree. From apprenticeships and internships to local, non-degree work opportunities, students and their families will learn about a wide range of valuable, high-paying career pathways. Parents and guardians of current and former ETHS students and Alumni are encouraged to attend to receive information about the many post-high school pathways available. 


Career Options Night is open to the entire community, especially for 9th-12th grade students and their parents/guardians. Alumni and former students are welcome!

University of Edinburgh Info Session

Are you considering colleges in the UK or abroad? If so, register to attend the University of Edinburgh Info Session being held in Chicago on March 14th. These sessions are primarily designed for applicants and offer holders, but students and their families who are interested in finding out more about studying in Scotland are welcome to attend.

College of ACES
Help your students imagine their future by inviting them to attend Explore ACES on Friday, March 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. During the day, they'll discover what it's like to be a student in the College of ACES and learn about the many career opportunities available to them
College of Applied Health Sciences
This is for students interested in a career in health and wellness, medicine, physical therapy, speech language pathology, audiology, event planning, or sport marketing  The College of Applied Health Sciences invites them to Discover Applied Health Sciences on Friday, March 8 at Huff Hall from 9 a.m. to noon. College of Education

College of Engineering

The Engineering Information Bureau will  host three more Engineering Days during the spring semester. The dates are February 15March 29, and April 19.

Engineering Summer Camp registration opens on January 15. We have a variety of themed opportunities for students currently in grades 8 through 11.

College of Fine & Applied Arts

The College of Fine and Applied Arts offers four residential summer programs for high school students. Illinois Summer Youth Music, Discover Architecture, iSTEAM (for students interested in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or Urban and Regional Planning), and FAA Summer Intensive (for students interested in Art and Design, Dance, or Theatre).

Students in grades 9 through 11 are encouraged to enter one of our seven talent competitions: Architectural Drawing, Self-Portrait, Dance Choreography, Design a Playscape, Music Performance, Acting, or Design Your Ideal City. 

College of Media

High school sophomores, juniors, and seniors are invited to join in at the College of Media’s 360° Sports and Entertainment Camp from July 14 to 19. Students can personalize their on-campus experience with classes and workshops that interest them in the fields of advertising, journalism, and media and cinema studies.For more information, contact Lisa Wells

Gies Business is excited to announce a new undergraduate program starting in 2019: Strategic Business Development and Entrepreneurship! The SBDE program seeks to train students in the skills needed to develop and manage new businesses, either as independent start-ups or new business units within existing companies.
