This course has three major components.  Human anatomy identifies individual parts of the body and relates them to the whole.  Physiology provides an understanding of the functions of the parts of the body.  Pathology relates a specific disorder to the abnormal functioning of the whole organism.  Interwoven into each unit is discussion about the medical field.  Dissection laboratory activities are included in this course.  The class meets two periods per day to allow a full year’s work to be covered in a single semester.  Immunization verification and TB testing are required.  A course fee covers costs for a TB test, stethoscope, and lab coat.
